Claire Moser, MA, CCC-SLP Owner 

Claire Moser is a licensed speech-language pathologist and the owner of Moser Speech in Seymour, Tennessee. With a passion for helping individuals communicate effectively, she specializes in articulation, fluency, language development, and reading and spelling across a wide range of communication disorders.

Claire brings more than three decades of experience in the field, including 22 years serving students in Sevier County Schools. In addition to her work in the public school system, she has spent 16 years in private practice, 14 of which have been dedicated to building and leading Moser Speech. Her clinical approach is rooted in both expertise and compassion, allowing her to support clients of all ages in reaching their communication goals.

Outside of her professional life, Claire is a proud mother of two grown children who each recently got married. She enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking and gardening, and has a love for bluegrass festivals, concerts, and traveling. She is often accompanied at her clinic by her miniature pinscher–dachshund mix, who brings an added sense of warmth and comfort to her practice. Claire is also actively involved in her faith community, attending a mission-oriented, non-denominational church in Dandridge, Tennessee. Her dedication to service—both in her profession and personal life—reflects her commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Lizzie Manning, MS, CCC-SLP 

Lizzie Manning, M.S., CCC-SLP, earned her Bachelor's degree in Communication Science Disorders from the University of Tennessee (UTK), with double minors in Psychology and Child & Family Studies. She completed her Master’s degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) with a concentration in Aural Habilitation and graduated in 2020. Since then, Lizzie has been proud to serve the community at Moser Speech, applying her extensive training to support children and families. Known for her detail-oriented and individualized approach, Lizzie is committed to tailoring each therapy session to meet the unique needs of every child. Her goal is not only to provide effective therapy but also to ensure it’s personalized, fostering the child’s growth and progress in a way that feels natural, fun, and engaging. 

Bernie, the aussiedoodle featured in several pictures below and throughout the website, loves coming to Moser Speech with his owner, Lizzie. He loves to see all the kids and has become an integral part of the sessions by encouraging verbal communication and helping ease transitions.

Deneen Matheson is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who provides speech, language, and feeding therapy to a diverse pediatric population. She earned her Master of Science degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in May 2021 and has been practicing at Moser Speech since August 2021. Deneen is dedicated to delivering individualized, evidence-based care that supports functional communication and fosters confidence in her clients. She values creating a warm, welcoming therapy environment and enjoys bringing her dog, Jasper, to work to help make sessions engaging and comforting for children.

Deneen Matheson, MS, CCC-SLP 

Michelle Medina, B.S., SLPA, graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology. During her final semester at UTK, she began shadowing at Moser Speech Therapy, where she quickly realized working in pediatrics was her passion. Michelle strives to create a positive, encouraging environment where each child feels supported and motivated. In the near future, she plans to begin graduate school, where she will pursue her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. In the meantime, she is extremely thankful to be surrounded by an amazing team of SLPs here at Moser Speech.

Carlee Rogers, MS, CF-SLP

Carlee Rogers, M.S., CF-SLP,  earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in 2025. While at UTHSC, Carlee was awarded the Early LEAPS Grant, which provided specialized hands-on experience working with children with autism and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Carlee is dedicated to providing individualized speech, language, and feeding therapy services to all children at Moser Speech. Carlee’s passion for the field is personal — inspired by her brother, who has autism, she is dedicated to supporting children and families through their communication journeys. Outside of work, Carlee enjoys life with her husband, Peyton, and their two dogs, Bailey and Stella.

Valerie Ward, Office Manager 

With over 18 years of experience in pediatric speech therapy, Valerie brings a deep understanding of both patient care coordination and the operational side of a thriving practice. As Office Manager, she specializes in billing, insurance processing, and scheduling, ensuring that families receive seamless support from their first call through ongoing therapy services.

Throughout her career, Valerie has developed expertise in navigating complex insurance requirements, optimizing scheduling efficiency, and maintaining organized, patient-centered office systems. She is passionate about creating a welcoming environment for families while supporting clinicians so they can focus on delivering high-quality care.

Known for her attention to detail, reliability, and compassionate communication, Valerie plays a key role in keeping the practice running smoothly and efficiently every day.
